Frequently Asked Questions
Question: OneBlock Phases
What phases are there?
Answer:
There are a total of 18 phases: Plains, Underground, Winter, Ocean, Jungle, Swamp,
Dungeon, Desert, The Nether, Plenty, Desolation, Deep Dark, The End, Lush Caves,
Dripstone Caves, Mangrove Swamp, Meadow, Cherry Grove, and Jagged Peaks. Each phase
features a set of blocks, chests, items, and mobs appropriate for the setting. After
completing the last phase, you cycle back to Plains. You can complete all 18 phases as
many times as you wish.
Question: Tree Growing
How do I get my first sapling?
Answer:
Throughout the phases, various types of leaves will spawn from the magic block. If you are
lucky, breaking these will drop you a sapling. If you have Fortune on any tool, you can
increase your chances of receiving a sapling by breaking the leaf block with that tool.
Question: Magic Block
How do I know which is the magic block?
Answer:
Hit it and it will give out green particles. It’s also at the center of your island. If the block
disappears entirely, try placing a temporary block where it should be, or run the command:
/ob respawnBlock
Question: Mobs
How do mobs spawn?
Answer:
Mobs spawn under natural conditions on your island, but the magic block will also spawn
certain mobs appropriate for your current phase. Be careful, as some mobs may
accidentally push you off, and hostile mobs can also spawn and attack you. Normal mobs
may spawn without warning, but hostile mobs will play their ambient sound when breaking
the magic block a few times before they actually spawn. You may find it useful to build an
enclosure around and above your magic block to protect yourself; however, if a mob is too
large to fit within your enclosure, it may break your blocks. Adjust accordingly. The largest
mob that can spawn is a Ghast during the Nether phase.
Question: Useful Commands

Yes, there is a shared Nether for all players. Upon entering a Nether portal from any island,

obtain Ancient Debris and various other loot. You may still have to traverse the normal
Nether to obtain a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, however, or purchase one from
another player.
Question: The End
Does the End dimension exist in OneBlock?
Answer:
No, but there is an End phase. You may rarely obtain an Elytra in a loot chest during this
phase.
Question: McMMO

Yes! All skills are enabled. Many of them, such as Woodcutting, Mining, and Herbalism may
prove useful in obtaining bonus blocks and items as you farm, mine, and progress your
island.
Question: Villagers
How do I obtain villagers?
Answer:
Villagers spawn in multiple phases, including the first Plains phase, if you’re lucky. They can
also spawn in both the Swamp and Plenty phases. Otherwise, you could cure Zombie
Villagers or purchase a Villager Spawn Egg from /shop.
Question: Useful Tips
Are there any useful tips for playing?
Answer:
Of course! There are many ways to play, but at the end of the day, it is Skyblock. You may
find it useful to create a tree farm, cobblestone generator, or mob farm as soon as possible.
You may also want to create pens for the animals that spawn during your first phase and
maybe shear a few sheep and make a bed to keep those pesky phantoms away. Some
players may choose to progress through the phases as fast as possible, but you can also
spend time progressing your island. There is no wrong way to play, so long as you have fun!
