Useful Server Commands

• /servers - Change between servers on the FSMP 
• /sethome <homename> - Set your home at your current location (Members can set 3 by default)

Welcome to Block-by-Block!

This is FriendlySMP's weekly(ish) build challenge. Each week(ish) there will be a new challenge with certain requirements, restrictions, and/or themes. There are prizes for the top 3 builds, and the winning build of each challenge will be displayed in a Block-by-Block Hall of Fame! 

Rules for Block-by-Block:
- Unless otherwise specified, all builds must be built in our creative world at /warp build.
 - Please note that the world is only 60 blocks deep; if you want to build further underground, you're going to have to do some upward landscaping first!
- All of the normal server rules apply as normal.
- No impeding other player's builds in any way.
- Using a block "prominently" means it is a significant and visible part of the build.
- Do not replicate anyone else's build; this includes building tutorials and images found on the internet of other builds.
- Unless specified to be a team build, all builds must be built by only ONE builder. Others can observe and advise, but cannot place or break blocks.
- Do not use blocks that are not normally obtainable in creative, such as custom player heads and invisible item frames.
- Challenges are announced on Sundays, and building can begin immediately after the announcement is made.
- The build must be completed by the deadline at midnight EST. No blocks may be placed or broken after this time! Winners will be determined and prizes distributed after the challenge is completed.
- The Block-by-Block builder's world will be reset every so often, but Jamplifier will collect downloads of the builds to share for those who would like them.

Any breaking of these rules will result in immediate disqualification from that week's build challenge, in addition to whatever other consequences the action may result in according to the server rules (for example, if you grief someone else's build, you will be perma-banned).

BbB's Block Prizes

Some of you like to be very "funny" and continuously try to ask for blocks which are clearly not meant to be prizes. Jamp had me add 'one stack of building blocks of your choice' to help with your building projects in the survival world; not so you could get a stack of debug sticks, or deepslate emerald ore, or netherite blocks, or spawn eggs, or shulkers, or anvils, or wither roses, or whatever else.

Mundane building block. Ask for a stack of smooth stone, or quartz pillars, or glowstone, or magma blocks, or cherry wood. If you ask for a stack of End Portal Frames, then I will End Your Continued Existence On This Server.

Here are some rules of thumb since some of you are confused. If it has 'ore' in the name, no. If it has 'diamond' or 'emerald' or 'netherite' in the name, no. If it is something only obtainable in creative mode, no. If it is not something you can place, no. If it is something you would ask for by saying 'I don't think this counts, but-' or 'technically, this-' no. If you already asked for something extremely similar and were told no but are asking for this slightly different thing, no, and I hope all of the milk in your house goes sour.

So the next time someone wants to be silly and ask for a stack of spawners or bedrock, just know: you're on my list. And if anyone in the future asks 'I wonder why Jani lost her mind and banned us from asking for anything other than logs and planks as bbb rewards?' I will tell them your name.
